The archbishop of a U.S. archdiocese requested from the Congregation for the Eastern Churches that the canonical condition of a member of the Greek Catholic Ukrainian Church be conformed to the law in order that he could be admitted to the diaconate and presbyterate of the Latin rite. The Secretary of the Congregation issued a rescript granting the request. The original was in Latin. The original and an unofficial translation of the rescript follow.

______, Archiepiscopus ______, die 16 mensis Septembris anno 2013 petivit ut condicio canonica ______, Ecclesiae Graeco-Catholicae Ucrainae, ad legem conformaretur et idem fidelis ad sacrum Diaconatus et Presbyteratus Ordinem ritu latino admitti posset.
Congregatio pro Ecclesiis Orientalibus, vigore facultatum a Summo Pontifice Francisco PP. sibi tributarum, omnibus mature perpensis, benigne concedit ut fidelis de quo in precibus ad sacrum Diaconatus et Presbyteratus Ordinem ritu latino admitti posset.
Eidem fideli fit insuper facultas sese in omnibus ritui latino conformandi, ea tamen lege ut Ecclesiae Graeco-Catholicae Ucrainae adscriptus maneat.
Contrariis quibuslibet non obstantibus.

On September 16, 2013______, Archbishop of ______, requested that the canonical condition of ______ of the Greek Catholic Ukrainian Church be conformed to the law and that he be able to be admitted to the sacred orders of the diaconate and presbyterate in the Latin rite.
The Congregation of the Eastern Churches, in virtue of faculties granted it by the Supreme Pontiff Francis and after mature consideration of the matter, benignly permits the member of the faithful mentioned in the aforementioned petition to be admitted to the sacred orders of diaconate and presbyterate in the Latin rite.
Furthermore, the same member of the faithful is granted the faculty of conforming in all things to the Latin rite on condition that he remains ascribed to the Greek Catholic Ukrainian Church.
All contrary provisions notwithstanding.
