Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, Transfer from a religious institute to a secular institute, 2006, Private.

A member in perpetual profession in a religious congregation petitioned the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life for a transfer to a secular institute. What follows is the Congregation's response in Latin followed by an unofficial English translation:

Beatissime Pater,

Soror _____, e Congregatione v.d. "_____", a Sanctitate Tua licentiam implorat transeundi ad Institutum saeculare "_____", ob rationes expositas.

Congregatio pro Institutis Vitae Consecratae et Societatibus Vitae Apostolicae, attento consensu Moderatorum Generalium utriusque Instituti, benigne adnuit pro gratia transitus, iuxta preces, servatis clausulis in can. 684-685 Codicis Iuris Canonici et in iure proprio contentis. Contrariis quibuslibet non obstantibus.

Most Holy Father

Sister _____ of the Congregation known as _____ requests of Your Holiness permission to transfer to the secular institute _____ for the reasons she presented.

The Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, attentive to the consent of the General Moderators of both institutes, grants the requested transfer, in keeping with the provisions of canons 684-685 of the Code of Canon Law and the contents of the proper laws.

Anything to the contrary does not stand.
